Caged Bird

Speech choirs are performance groups that recite speeches in unison, often with elements of choreography and costuming to help bring the speech to life.

Every English term of our school, the Public Speaking subject there's always a Speech Choir Competition. Just like the Chant and Cheers it also test your teamwork as a block or section. Every Speech Choir they will give you a poem piece that you need to make a choreography and how you will deliver it excellently. All the blocks that join the speech choir will fight for the champion for that Speech Choir Competition. The poem they gave titled THE CAGED BIRD by Maya Angelou. I would like to share a one paragraph in the poem.

The Caged Bird:

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird

sings of freedom.

This is our group, combine of two blocks the ABMA 153 and ABMA 155 plus the other irregular students like me. This group was amazing because they made the steps two days before the competition and after the short day of practicing of step they made up amazing performance. While their practicing they having a lot of fun to work as one team and one sound. Their performance was really great also the voices that they add to impress the judges because there is no using of any instrument to make sounds just only there voices.
Even though they don't won the competition, the more important is they enjoy their wonderful performance. The block that won the competition is from the course of Engineering. I would like to congratulate the blocks who compete the Speech Choir Competition that giving their time to practice and work hard just to perform. Especially to the Engineering students

THE PUBLIC SPEAKING!

Do you have a fear of speaking in front of many people?

If your asking me, its a BIG YES! because I'm kind of person that not talks to many people especially to those not my friends. I feel when I'm talking to people I usually think what their feedback when I'm talking in front of them. There is another reason that I don't wanna talk in public because I'm very shy and I'm not confident that I can do it. I always says to my self that " Just don't do it", I know that's not right to say because I'm lack of self-confidence I always think for a reason just not do it.
Public speaking (sometimes termed oratory or oration) is the process or act of performing a presentation (a speech) focused around an individual directly speaking to a live audience in a structured, deliberate manner in order to inform, influence, or entertain them.Public speaking is commonly understood as the formal, face-to-face talking of a single person to a group of listeners. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the audience.

In our school there's a subject called Public Speaking 1 and 2 or PUBSPE 1 and 2. This subject in only available to take when its English Term. Every Finals the professors of this subject will choose a student that will represent for their block or section for the Public Speaking contest. This contest will determine if your good in delivering your speech in many audience.

This is our friend, Jia she is one that will represent the block of ABMA 155. Speaking in front need your self confident if you don't have that it will ruin your speech. But it was just scary talking in front of the audience XD

Who wants to be a Millionaire!!

Who wants to be a Millionaire ERC Edition!

The "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" English Edition is one of the events in Asia Pacific College every College Week which was organized by the ERC. It just like a normal game show in U.S this T.V show was adapted here in the Philippines.

Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is an American television game show based on the same-titled British program and developed for the United States by Michael Davies. The show features a quiz competition in which contestants attempt to win a top prize of U.S. $1,000,000 by answering a series of multiple-choice questions of increasing difficulty (although, for a time, most of the questions were of random difficulty).

But it different from the event of the school because the organizers of the event will not give you 1,000,000 pesos as their prize. The student wish that it was the prize because it is a lot of money xD you can pay your whole your college fees if you won xD

It is a game of knowledge. A game where good communication with your teammates is needed. The question given here was also difficult. If your asking me? I never tried to join in this event. Being a audience you can also feel the intense of the game and thinking the right answer for every questions. XD I would like to congratulate to the winners of the "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" English Edition.

People are creating stories by their experiences in their whole life since their was a little child. In storytelling you can also express your feelings and emotions because it is more easier way to tell your friends or any people around you.

Hearing a creative stories can inspire you and it can also help your decisions. Everything in this world has a story even the animals and trees. Just like trees how it grew up from seedling to bearing fruit tree and how it manage to survive for the calamities everyday.

Paddington

Paddington is a 2014 British-French live action/computer animated family comedy film directed by Paul King, written by King and Hamish McColl, and produced by David Heyman. Based on Paddington Bear by Michael Bond, the film stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of the title character, along with Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and Nicole Kidman in live-action roles.

The young bear reaches London, but he fails to find a home. He is taken in briefly by the Brown family, who name him after
Paddington Station, where they found him. Henry Brown, a devoted risk analyst, is adamant that Paddington stay only one night while they find a place for him to live permanently. Paddington causes a series of accidents across the house, further isolating himself from the Browns.Paddington thinks he can find a home with the explorer who found his aunt and uncle, but does not know the explorer's name. Mary Brown takes Paddington to an antique shop owner who discovers that the hat bears the stamp of the Geographers Guild, but the Guild says that it never sent a member to explore darkest Peru. With the help of Mr. Brown, Paddington infiltrates the Geographers Guild archives and discovers an expedition to Peru was undertaken by Montgomery Clyde. He uses the city's phone books to track the addresses of all the "M Clyde"s in London.

This movie teaches that you should love everyone even though what she/he is not a human.

Filipino Romantic Drama Film

Sana Dati - is a 2013 Filipino romantic drama film written and directed by Jerrold Tarog. The film is about a woman who stalls her big wedding when a guy with a camera shows up and reminds her of a love she once had.  It is the final installment to Tarog's Camera trilogy that includes Confessional (2007) and The Blood Trail(2009). The film competed under the Directors Showcase sidebar of Cinemalaya 2013. The film won Best Film and other technical awards at the festival's awards night.

The film is a love story about a woman named Andrea (Lovi Poe) whose wedding is thrown into disarray when a mysterious guy, Dennis (Paulo Avelino) arrives and reminds her of the man she really loves. The couple, along with friends and family, assembles at a hotel to do just that. But the arrival of videographer Dennis (Paulo Avelino) complicates matters. While ostensibly just asking harmless questions for the wedding video, Dennis has a hidden agenda that’s linked to Andrea’s past. And as the questions get more probing, and the day gets more hectic, it becomes unclear if Andrea is actually willing to go through with any of this.

What I know in this movie is that Dennis is finding the girl like Andrea. But Andrea was going to married. She remembered that man who really loves because of Dennis.

It just so sad that you cannot bring back the past so that you can correct all your mistakes. There are things that came for reasons that need to accept everything that will came to your life.

METANOIA

RPG Metanoia is a 2010 Filipino 3D computer-animated adventure film produced by Ambient Media, Thaumatrope Animation and Star Cinema. The owner of the computer shop that also a player got the most powerful helmet that can control the the players. That helm is a virus that lives in that game because of that they need to defeat the owner of the shop to save the players around the world that affected by the virus.

As for me, this movie is give the other animators that here in the Philippines you can also make a animated movie. They don't need to go to other country to work as animator.

Bad habits

Do you smoke?

If you are. Please stop it right away.

A lot people got killed by smoking cigarettes or tobacco. Mostly men are the one who is smoking a lot. They are continuing smoking even though that is bad for their health.

The government did that every package of cigarette has a label of warning and also it needs to half the size of the packaging of any cigarettes.

An anti-smoking campaign talking about the bad effects of smoking will do no good to most people. The speaker they get is also a victim of bad effect of smoking and under go a surgery. They will give the testimony about their smoking days and they will tell you that don't ever try smoking. Smoking  will lead you to some disease like lung cancer, etc.

The some bad effect of Smoking:
  • Become addicted. Nicotine from cigarettes is as addictive as heroin. Nicotine addiction is hard to beat because it changes your brain. The brain develops extra nicotine receptors to accommodate the large doses of nicotine from tobacco. When the brain stops getting the nicotine it’s used to, the result is nicotine withdrawal. You may feel anxious, irritable, and have strong cravings for nicotine.
  • Hearing loss. Smoking reduces the oxygen supply to the cochlea, a snail-shaped organ in the inner ear. This may result in permanent damage to the cochlea and mild to moderate hearing loss
  • Smoking raises your blood pressure and puts stress on your heart.
  • Smoking destroys the tiny air sacs, or alveoli, in the lungs that allow oxygen exchange.
  • Smoking causes inflammation in the small airways and tissues of your lungs.

As a non-smoker. I'm happy that I don't smoke and I don't wanna get addicted in smoking. Smoking is just a waste of money. I hope that someday the Philippines is smoke free country so that no one will killed by smoking.

Famous Author

Edith Tiempo was born in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. Destiny!

Do you believe in destiny?
a. YES
b. NO

If your not believing in destiny, I wish you try to believe <3. If your answer is yes were the same answer :). I believe God has a plan for us also destined to other people to met and maybe to someones you will marry in the future <3.

In the movie "Turn Left, Turn Right" shows that if your destined with someone there will be a time that you will see each other unexpectedly or  in different ways like seeing one another in a grocery store or in the park.

In this movie you will get excite because of the story. John Liu the violinist and Eve Choi the translator met in the park fountain when John helps Eve to pick up her papers that have fallen into the fountain. They found out that they had met each other when they were younger at an amusement park, when both their schools had organized a field trip to the same place. They talk to each other until the paper got dried. After that, it began to rain and they ask each other's telephone number. They gave one another their number so that they can call. But because of the rain the numbers that they gave was messed up and they don't recognized what is written on that paper. John and Eve are frustrated about not being able to find each other and decided to take jobs abroad. On the day they are to leave Taiwan, an earthquake strikes, destroying the wall that separates their apartment. Both finally find each other.

After reading you see that if your destined to someone, God has a plan to meet you and love one in the right time. Just don't ever give up finding your destiny <3.

Parasytes

Parasyte the Maxim

For those who don't know the anime, Parasyte the maxim. It was an anime series and they also make a live action just like the story in anime. I did not yet watch the live action and I also not finished watching the anime xD.

The synopsis of Parasyte the Maxim or in Japanese Kiseijū: Sei no Kakuritsu

17-year-old Shinichi Izumi lives with his parents in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like aliens called Parasytes invade Earth, and they take over humans by entering through their ears or noses to get to their brains. One Parasyte tries to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he is sleeping, but the teenager is wearing headphones so the parasyte enters his body through his arm instead! The parasyte named Migi ends up taking over Shinichi's right hand.

Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from traveling further up into his brain, both of them are able retain their separate intellect and personality. They end up fighting other Parasytes who attack them after realizing that Shinichi's human brain is still intact. These other Parasytes devour humans as food, and Shinichi ends up fighting them with Migi's help. As the two of them encounter more Parasytes, they end up forming a strong bond as they work together to survive.
Anime
Live action

The live action of parasyte the maxim is cool but when you first watch the anime you will see the difference like the facial expression of Shinichi in live action and from anime. Try to watch the trailer of parasyte the maxim live action : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tArhmbw9Ihc

This anime is very creepy for me because of the animation and the story. When I see their face is separating and the eyes of the parasyte was out it was totally YUUUUCK!

Plagiarism

When I was a young boy I thought that plagiarism is good to do so that your homework or projects are very easy to do. You just copy and paste everything you want from any sites. The students favorite the words ( Copy, Paste, Print or Send). That word make your life easy and time saving for the students who really love to play computer game. They don't realize that they are stealing ideas from other people.

I realize that in our school they hate students that copying someone's idea and making a little bit changes some sentences. Because I make a draft for our project and my professor gave us a topic, when I search for that I just copy everything and paste it in Microsoft Word and print it and gave it to my professor. The day she return the draft I say a notice that "next time don't plagiarize you will fail my subject". That notify me that plagiarism is very bad.

Stealing someone's idea is a crime for some schools like Asia Pacific College (APC). If they caught the students that plagiarize their work, they will get a failing grade.

Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work.
Don't be like him, you will turn to be a Giraffe xD

There are tips to avoid plagiarism:
1.Be familiar in the area that you are talking about. By understanding the subject, you are more likely to write in your own words, rather than restate someone else's definition of this subject.
2.Restate the subject to yourself a couple of times. The key is to understand the material and be able to express its meaning in your own words.
3.Reference your quotes and sources. You must include a bibliography or works cited in your paper. If you use a direct quote from another author's work, then you must quote it and cite it properly.

All about me

Hi,

I'm Ephraim, my friends call me Ej.  I'm only 18 years old who love to play online games like League of Legends (LOL). I really love hanging out with my friends especially my closest friends. You can see below the picture of my friends and the girl that is really special to me. Hehe :)

This photo was taken last January in Picnic Grove, Tagaytay City. This day is one of memorable day for me this 2016. The day that my parents let me use our car for that moment we go to Tagaytay. My first drive without my parent and that moment I drive without license to drive, Thuglife. And my friends that always there for everyone of us when we need help, and to listen to our problem. This guys we see each other once or twice a week usually every Saturday because they always attend a prayer meeting called Feast. And they always invited me to go with them that's why we get close to each other.

And this me. :)

I'm the kind of person that will do everything for my love ones especially for my family and the person you can count on. I'm the person that really love to laugh and I describe myself as a happy person. I never felt to be so much angry and cannot control myself. I don't like war and having an enemy or just that I grew up with a religious family. When I'm a kid my parents always bring me to church until now. And now I'm a kingdom kid because I also grew up in church.

I study in Asia Pacific College (APC) in Magallanes, Makati City. I'm taking the course of Entertainment Multimedia Computing major in Game Development (EMC-GD). This course is my second course because I'm a transferee from Adamson University with the course of Chemical Process Technology (CPT). The reason why I transfer to APC because I don't take serious of my studies and I also don't like my course. My parents gave me a second chance to study in APC. That why, Right now I'm here in APC studying and starting a new beginning of my college life.

I believe that someday when I graduated, I will be a professional Game Developer and work one day in Japan. I will not stop until I reach my dreams in life.

I think that's only I can tell for now about me. Because I'm not done finding myself.

Thank you for reading this. :)
